QR code
A QR code is a square barcode that phones can scan with the camera to open a link, used to bring people from print or a screen to a page.
Also called: QR, scan code
Where do QR codes work best?
Anywhere people can't click: posters, merch, album sleeves, gig screens, flyers and shop counters.
How do you make one work well?
Point it at a link you control, so you can change where it goes without reprinting. Leave a quiet margin around it, keep good contrast, and test it from the distance people will scan.
Example
A band projects a QR code between songs that opens their smart link, and adds it to the merch table sign.
Doing it with Aulto
Aulto's free QR code maker turns any link into a styled QR code, with your own image in the centre.
