Link in bio
"Link in bio" means the clickable link on your Instagram profile, which is the main place a post can send people since captions don't have clickable links.
Also called: bio link, link in my bio, LIB
Why do people say "link in bio"?
Instagram caption links aren't clickable, so creators point people to the one link that is: the website field on their profile.
What makes a good link in bio page?
One page that holds everything current: the newest release or product first, then a few lasting links. Short, on brand, and quick to load on a phone.
What's the catch?
Every "link in bio" asks people to leave the post, open your profile and tap again. Each extra step loses some of them, which is why many accounts now send the link straight to people's DMs instead.
Example
A café posts its new menu and writes "order from the link in bio". The bio link opens a page with ordering, location and opening hours.
Doing it with Aulto
An Aulto bio page lives at yourname.aul.to, with your releases, buttons and a sign-up for your fan list.
Common questions
How many links can I put in my Instagram bio?
Instagram lets you add several links to your profile, but most people tap the first one, so a single link-in-bio page usually works better.
