Comment-to-DM

Comment-to-DM is when someone comments a keyword on an Instagram post and automatically receives a direct message with a link or reply.

Also called: comment automation, keyword DM, Insta DM automation, auto DM

It removes the "link in bio" detour. The person asks in the comments and gets the link right where they already are, in their Insta DMs, within seconds.

Does it help the post too?

Each keyword comment is engagement on the post, and the DM opens a conversation with that person, so you can reply to them later.

When does it work best?

For anything time-sensitive or specific: a recipe, a price, a new song, a limited offer. The keyword should be short and obvious, like PRICE or SONG.

Example

A food creator ends a reel with "comment RECIPE". Everyone who does gets the full recipe in their DMs, and the reel collects hundreds of comments.
