Drop

A drop is a release that goes out at a set moment, like a new song, a merch line or a product, announced ahead so people show up at once.

Also called: the drop, dropping, new drop

Why release as a drop?

A fixed moment concentrates attention. Fans who know the date show up together, which helps a song's first-day numbers or a product's sell-through.

How do you run one?

Announce the date, give people a way to be reminded, then send them the link the moment it's out.

Example

A streetwear label announces a Friday 7pm drop, collects reminders all week, and messages everyone the store link at 7.

Doing it with Aulto

Aulto pre-save pages count down to the drop, remind fans by email, calendar and, if you've connected your number, WhatsApp, then switch to your platform buttons when it's out.
