Artist Pick

Artist Pick is the slot at the top of a Spotify artist profile where the artist pins one thing they want listeners to see first, such as a new song, a playlist or a show.

What can you pin?

Spotify allows songs, albums, music videos and playlists, plus concerts, merch and podcast shows or episodes. You set it in Spotify for Artists.

How long does a Pick stay up?

Spotify says a Pick stays live for 180 days unless you change it sooner. Concert Picks disappear after the show or when tickets sell out, and merch Picks when the item sells out.

How do artists use it well?

Treat it as the front window of your profile. Pin the new single in release week, a playlist of your songs and influences between releases, or the next show when tickets go on sale. Change it often enough that returning listeners see something new.

A Tamil rapper pins his new single on release day, then switches the Pick to his Chennai show a month later when tickets open.
