WhatsApp broadcast

A WhatsApp broadcast is one message sent to many opted-in contacts at once, each receiving it as a private chat rather than in a group.

Broadcast list or WhatsApp Business Platform?

The WhatsApp Business app's broadcast lists only reach people who saved your number. The WhatsApp Business Platform (the API) can message anyone who opted in, using templates Meta approves.

What does it cost?

The app's broadcasts are part of the app. On the Platform, Meta charges for most business-started messages, by message type and country. Meta publishes the current rates.
