Algo
"Algo" is short for algorithm, the ranking system that decides what a social app shows people, as in "the algo pushed my reel".
Also called: the algo, algorithm
Why do creators talk about the algo so much?
Because it decides most of who sees their work. A post can do very well or very badly without anything about the account changing.
What are the common myths?
That posting at an exact minute matters, that certain words trigger bans, or that the algo "punishes" an account permanently. Most changes in reach come down to how people respond to each post.
What actually helps?
Content people watch, save and share, posted consistently.
Example
"The algo hates me this week" usually means the last few posts weren't watched to the end.
